Extra Life Game Day 2021

Deja Vu! The last post I made on this blog was a year ago and it was about this very topic! While that may speak volumes about my lack of motivation to blog over the past year, hopefully this being my 8th year participating in Extra Life’s Game Day 24 Hour Marathon shows that I don’t always have commitment issues!

This little blip from last year remains the same:

In less than 4 hours, myself and Team Cryton Crusaders will once again embark on our annual Extra Life Game Day 24H Marathon festivities! Extra Life is a non-profit organization that runs a year-round fundraising campaign (placing focus on raising proceeds through some form of gaming related hobby) for children through Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Throughout the year Extra Life promotes events for participants to engage in, the 24H Marathon being the most prolific.

Unfortunately we will be keeping the gathering to a minimum like the previous year, allowing people to come and go as they please and feel comfortable with. I long for the day when we can have a grand ‘ol shindig again! While it may not be optimal, we will still have a blast playing games and, of course, raising money for children!

All of my donations will be going to Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare.

If you are interested in donating on my behalf (or another team member’s) and/or are just curious to learn more about the event and/or my history with the organization, please take a moment to check out my Extra Life profile:

In case you missed it last year, since we missed the mark, I kept a new Milestone and will be shaving my head if I somehow manage to raise $1000. That may not seem like a big deal to some, but for me it is! I haven’t gotten a haircut in over 4 years. I will provide before and after photos if this takes place and may even have it recorded if there is interest in that. But that may involve a grown man crying and no one wants to see that, right? Right?! Either way, you already have a $200 head start this year!

Speaking of which, fundraising lasts all year, so if unable to donate during the specific event, you can always do so when more convenient thereafter. Any donation amount, liking/sharing of this post, and/or encouragement is greatly appreciated and I want to thank you in advance!
