Dunkirk definitely wasn't a sinking ship this weekend, bringing in just over 50M$ and taking the number one slot at the box office. And while it may not be surprising seeing Spider-Man: Homecoming (22M$) and War for the Planet of the Apes (20M$) remain in the top five (third and fourth, respectively), I was taken aback that Girls Trip (31M$) — a movie I hadn't ever heard of beyond a friend mentioning it once — took the second place position. Unfortunately, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets seems to have flopped in its opening weekend, which is a real shame. I really wanted it to do well in theaters!

Tonight we have a mixed bag of Netflix shows, adult action, and family fun!
